We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor with 5-10 years of expertise in the hospitality industry, responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement. The role involves managing financial statements, overseeing tax compliance, and guiding junior staff while providing key insights to drive business performance. Proficiency in financial software, Excel, and strong leadership skills are essential.
Requirements
- Preferably experienced Males/Females in Accounting Services in Hospitality industries with 5-10 years’ experience
- Preferably candidates having experience in Hospitality & Hotel industries.
- Using financial and operational data to identify and clearly communicate key business drivers, operational assumptions, KPI metrics, emerging trends, and other key variables.
- Reviewing and analyzing financial results and providing valuable recommendations to business leaders in order to drive decision-making and improve business performance.
- Assisting in preparing monthly consolidated financial reporting, including historical financial statements, forecast and projection compilations, and actual forecast variance analysis.
- Designing and implementing various analytic tools and effective management reporting.
- Adhering to best practices in report development by creating and monitoring defined review processes and timelines for new and existing reports.
- Independently identifying and developing process improvements for financial reporting, analysis, and accounting procedures while adhering to internal control guidelines.
- Partnering with stakeholders throughout the business, including business operation teams, IT, and other areas of the finance team.
- Using standardized templates stipulated by Hospitality Clients and make improvements to automate the same.
Responsibilities
- Analysing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting practises.
- Providing regular updates to management regarding company finances.
- Identifying potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.
- Consulting with department heads to ensure that each department remains within budget.
- Accurately preparing tax returns and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a timely manner.
- Performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Ensuring that the company maintains compliance with accounting legislation.
- Supervising and providing overall guidance to account clerks as well as junior accounting staff.
- Proven experience working as an Accounting Supervisor.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practises.
- The ability to process substantial amounts of numerical data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Meticulous in data analysis and understanding financial systems and governance
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets.
- Assessing, managing, and minimizing financial risk.
